Thunderbirds Hand Disaster 3-1 Loss
|
In a low-scoring affair between the Hamilton Thunderbirds and the Port Royal Disaster, pitcher Bailey Marshall was the difference between victory and defeat. The Hamilton left-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-1 Thunderbirds win. Marshall yielded 1 run over 7.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 4, and struck out 4. His record improves to 2-3. The Thunderbirds raised their record to 22-36.
Hamilton used a clutch at-bat from Brad Reid to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Thunderbirds ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"It feels good to get this one," Reid told the Hamilton Times.
