The Salt Lake City Buzz faced a tenacious opponent in Sunset District pitcher David Farías, but still scratched out a win at Spirits Stadium by a final score of 7-6 in 11 innings. Farías went 6 innings and allowed no runs. The win elevated the Buzz to 30-29.

The Buzz relied on designated hitter Dave Pace for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 11th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.

"The game is never over 'til it's over," said a jubilant Todd Hines, the Salt Lake City skipper.
