Thunderbirds Collect 8-6 Win Over Red Pandas
The Hamilton Thunderbirds battled the Sioux Falls Red Pandas into extra innings before the outcome was decided. The Thunderbirds won it, finally, 8-6, in 12 innings. In the game, Hamilton third baseman John Tolbert hit 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice. The winner in relief was Pierre-Antoine Mauduit. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. He now owns a record of 2-0. With the win, the Thunderbirds have a record of 23-37.

Hamilton used the timely hitting of Joe Wilson to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Thunderbirds on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
