Starks Lose By a Run at Sioux Falls, 3-2
Jorge Vázquez pitched well, but his team, the Syracuse Starks, still dropped a 3-2 decision to the Sioux Falls Red Pandas at The Bamboo Forest. The loss puts Syracuse at 8-10.

In the bottom of the sixth, Sioux Falls left fielder Sergio López gave his team the lead. With two out and a runner on 2nd, Black Beard hit his 4th home run of the year. Syracuse pitcher Jorge Vázquez surrendered it. With that, the Red Pandas jumped in front, 3-2.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Sioux Falls manager Fred Leos said.
