Sacramento Redlegs starter Brian McDaniel pitched his team past the Philadelphia Liberty Reserves, 3-0. Picking up the save was 24-year old right-handed pitcher Jeff Rodríguez. Sacramento goes to 7-11.

Sacramento used a well-timed hit by José Aguilar to capture the win. The catcher socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Redlegs ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

Sacramento manager Kyle Lucas said his team played a "no nonsense" game.
