Lake Monsters Go Down to Defeat, 4-3
The Port Royal Disaster did just enough to sneak past the Vermont Lake Monsters, 4-3, at Monster Field. Port Royal pitcher Lawrence Tate, in particular, had a standout performance. Port Royal reliever Bobby Vaughn picked up the win. Olaf Blees took the loss for Vermont. With the win, Port Royal goes to 25-38, while the Lake Monsters fall to 29-34.

Port Royal used the timely hitting of Bryan White to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Disaster on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Lawrence mixed and matched," said Port Royal manager .
