Golden Cranes Stay Hot, Beat Buzz, 7-4

Santa Barbara and Salt Lake City duked it out and the Golden Cranes came out victorious.
The Santa Barbara Golden Cranes topped the Salt Lake City Buzz, 7-4, with center fielder Buddy Gordon playing a big role. Gordon was 3 for 4 with a triple and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Golden Cranes in the win. Gilberto Malfeito went 5.1 innings for Santa Barbara to pick up the win. The right-hander was charged with 4 runs. He scattered 6 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 6. His record improves to 2-2.
Gordon made an early impact for Santa Barbara when he stroked his 2nd triple of the season. The 2-run triple, which came in the top of the third, put the Golden Cranes on top, 6-1.
"The vibe's good," said Santa Barbara manager William Smith. "We've got to keep it going."
