Bennett Dodd, who is tied for 10th in the 3AAA in innings pitched with 85.2, was terrific for the Vermont Lake Monsters in his team's 5-0 triumph over the Calgary Lynx. His performance earned Dodd rave reviews. Vermont is 31-35 and Calgary, with the loss, 42-24.

Vermont won the game in part because of Joe Crawford. The designated hitter ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Lake Monsters ahead, 2-0. For the game, Crawford had 1 double and 1 home run in 3 at-bats.

"I thought we played a nice game," Crawford told the Vermont Gazette. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
