In a low-scoring contest between the Austin Black Mambas and the Hialeah Dodos, Warner Alder, who is tied for 10th in the 3AAA in innings pitched with 92.0, proved to be the difference. The Austin right-hander earned props for his performance in the 2-1 Black Mambas win. Curt Stokes, credited with the win in relief, is now 4-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 0.1 innings. The win makes Austin 33-34.

Austin used the timely hitting of Mike Harris to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Black Mambas on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
