Pawnee turned a good performance from starting pitcher Gerald Porter into a 5-2 triumph over the Plymouth Rocks in 10 innings at Plymouth Quarry. Brad Hickton closed out the game, earning his 16th save. The ParksNRec now own a record of 40-29.
Pawnee used the timely hitting of Luis Hernández to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the ParksNRec on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Gerald was dictating to their hitters," said Pawnee manager Jesús Salazar.
