Jersey City Slaps 4-1 Loss on Syracuse
|
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Jersey City Tritons and Syracuse Starks.
The Jersey City Tritons converted a terrific effort from starter Brent Golightly into a win over the Syracuse Starks at Stark Stadium. The Tritons won the game by a final score of 4-1. Jersey City is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 8th in 20 games.
Jersey City took the lead in the top of the sixth. With no one out and the bases loaded, Rick Torraville stroked a 2-run single to make it 2-0, Tritons.
"If I do my job, we've usually got a good chance to win the game," said Torraville.
