Lynx Lose By a Run at Syracuse
The Syracuse Starks rode a solid performance from 32-year-old starting pitcher O-jun Kun to a win, beating the Calgary Lynx, 2-1, at Stark Stadium. Mario Méndez picked up his 6th save of the season. Syracuse sits at 9-11 in the early going.

The Lynx had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Starks going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 26-year old second baseman Manny Estrada came to the plate. Estrada hit a run-scoring double on a first pitch curveball from Calgary hurler Frank Baldwin. It was Estrada's 3rd double of the year.

"We had the right guys up at the right times," said Calgary manager Steve Duncan. "We just didn't cash in."
