Dogfish Head Cut Down Fog, 4-0

The Dogfish Head grabbed a win, 4-0, at Milton Corner Tavern, overcoming a fine effort from Sunset District pitcher Milton Fisher. Fisher went 5.1 innings and allowed 1 run. Ed Walters earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3.1 innings. He upped his record to 4-3. The Menard's AAA-leading Dogfish Head are 48-23.
Claude Prigent had a big 2-run double for the Dogfish Head in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Milton leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 26-year old left-handed pitcher Marv Thomas and swatted a double to left. It was his 1st double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Dogfish Head ahead, 3-0.
Milton manager Brian Burt commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."
