The exploits of right fielder Gjelt Willems helped the Salt Lake City Buzz defeat the Florida Men, 5-2. Willems was 4-4 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs. Salt Lake City reliever Brad Bray picked up the win, raising his record to 3-2. John Bell was tagged with the loss. Sib Gijbels finished to wrap up his 8th save.

Sumitomo Shimizu drew 1 walk in his only trip to the plate against the Men. With the game tied in the bottom of the eighth inning, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run that put Salt Lake City in front, 3-2.

"We're in a little funk right now and we've just got to get ourselves out of it," said Florida manager Caetano Alfena.

The 5th-place Buzz hiked their record to 39-36.
