Lynx Come Up Short at Hialeah, 3-2
|
Dodos Ballpark was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Hialeah Dodos and Calgary Lynx.
In a low-scoring tilt between the Hialeah Dodos and the Calgary Lynx, Bernardo Rivera, who is tied for 5th in the 3AAA with a 8.3 K/9 rate, was the difference-maker. The Hialeah right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. The first-place Lynx have lost 4 consecutive games.
Hialeah left fielder Germán García contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball to right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 55th hit of the season and put the Dodos ahead, 3-2.
"Bernardo was able to locate to both sides, up and down," said Hialeah manager Albert Pérez.
