The Salt Lake City Buzz trumped the Port Huron Blitzkrieg, 14-1, at Spirits Stadium. Salt Lake City first baseman Dave Pace was terrific. He went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 5. Martín Cedeño got credit for the win, improving to 5-5. He allowed 1 run on 7 hits in 9 innings. Salt Lake City, now 42-34, holds down third place in the Menard's AAA.

In the first inning, Pace had a 3-run home run for Salt Lake City. It was his 11th home run of the season and put the Buzz on top, 3-0.

"Solid game, solid win tonight," said a smiling Pace.
