Thunderbirds Get One-Run Win at Florida
|
Hamilton and Florida duked it out and the Thunderbirds came out victorious.
Cristo González did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Florida Men from being beaten, 4-3, to the Hamilton Thunderbirds at Psychos Ballpark. González went 2-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The current losing streak for Florida has reached 5 games.
Lou Werner had a direct impact on the outcome. Werner contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put Hamilton up, 2-0.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Werner.
