The Norfolk Pajaritos powered past the Salt Lake City Buzz, 8-5, at Spirits Stadium. Juan Flores went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk, to lead the charge. Toby Cates closed out the game, earning his 10th save.

With Norfolk leading 4-2 in the top of the sixth, Ronald McKenzie hit a 2-run single off Salt Lake City pitcher Manuel Peña. It put the Pajaritos ahead 6-2.

"Good, gritty kind of win," said Pajaritos manager Vincent Cruz.

Norfolk improves to 56-21 with the win. They lead their division by 14½ games.
