Dodos Earn Late 4-3 Win
|
The Hialeah Dodos faced a tough opponent in Calgary pitcher Johnny Daniels, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Dodos Ballpark by a final score of 4-3. Daniels went 7 innings and allowed 1 run. At 33-45, the Dodos find themselves in 11th place in the Menard's AAA.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Hialeah pinch hitter Jim Willis, facing Michael Sheppard, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Dodos the 4-3 win.
"I'll play 10 innings, I'll play 20," said Dodos manager Albert Pérez. "Whatever it takes to win the ballgame."
