The Hialeah Dodos withstood a fine game by Ft. Myers third baseman Huang-di Lan at League Park, to upend the Marlins, 6-5. Lan went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Picking up his 16th save was fireballing 6' 6" right-hander Carl van Bekenes. The loss makes Ft. Myers 40-38.

Hialeah used a clutch at-bat from Moe Locke to capture the win. The third baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Dodos ahead, 4-3. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Glad to get this win," said Locke. "But we need to keep playing at a high level."
