Squirrel Monkeys Stick Disaster with 9-7 Loss
The Zoo in Syracuse was the site for M3L Triple A action featuring the Port Royal Disaster and Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys.

The Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys had to overcome a big game from Port Royal first baseman Richard Carter to leave The Zoo in Syracuse with a victory. And they did, winning, 9-7. Carter went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Tim Winson recorded the save for Syracuse, his 13th of the season.

Tony Fulton hit a 2-run double off Ferry Zwaan in the bottom of the sixth, which put the Squirrel Monkeys in front, 9-7. In addition to the double, Fulton had 1 single, while going 2 for 5.

"We'll take this win and move on," said Fulton.

The win makes Syracuse 42-36.
