Thunderbirds Win Squeaker, 6-5, Over Fog

Sunset District got a terrific game from designated hitter Robert Block. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Hamilton, 6-5. Block was 2-2 with a triple and 2 walks, while scoring 2. Sam Malone finished the game for Hamilton and earned his 15th save. The win has Hamilton at 30-49.
Had George White not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, White hit a 2-run single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Thunderbirds.
"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said White.
