Hialeah Scrapes Out 3-1 Win
The Hialeah Dodos used a great performance from Mike Carney, who is tied for 2nd in the 3AAA in complete games with 2, to beat the Salt Lake City Buzz, 3-1, at Dodos Ballpark. Carney, who is tied for 2nd in the 3AAA in complete games with 2, went the distance for Hialeah. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. The Dodos now have a record of 42-39 with the win over Salt Lake City.

Hialeah got a clutch hit from Jon Melanson. The pinch hitter launched a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a kill shot.

"It's what good teams do, find a way to win," said Melanson.
