Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Port Royal Disaster and the Milton Dogfish Head. Port Royal won it, 3-1. Port Royal starter Lawrence Tate was in command. Bryan Hall closed the game out for Port Royal, earning his 8th save. The Disaster improved their record to 33-48 with the win over Milton.
Port Royal used a timely hit from Kane Tucker to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Disaster ahead, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Port Royal manager Miguel Aguilar.
