The Port Royal Disaster faced a tough opponent in Ft. Myers pitcher Erich Alfaro, but still scratched out a win at League Park by a final score of 3-2 in 10 innings. Alfaro went 7 innings and allowed no runs. Port Royal is now 41-40, Ft. Myers 44-37.

Port Royal used a timely hit from Juan Medina to get the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Disaster ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"We had the right guys up at the right times," said Ft. Myers manager Ken McDowell. "We just didn't cash in."
