The Hartford Pride downed the Pawnee ParksNRec, 7-6, at Whips Ballpark. The Pride were led by Ted Garrett. Garrett was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. Earning his 3rd save of the year was Andy Harvey. The Pride are now 44-38.

Hartford used the timely hitting of Clint McBride to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Pride on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Garrett. "And not try to do too much."
