Sacramento Gets 4-1 Win
|
The Sacramento Redlegs topped the Ellenburg Fighting Dachshunds, 4-1, in USPL Triple A action at Dog Park in Ellenburg. The game was highlighted by the performance of Sacramento pitcher Yoshitaka Shinohara. Sacramento is in last place in the Premier AAA with a record of 7-17.
Sacramento used a well-timed hit by Ángelo Carrasco to capture the win. The second baseman socked a run-scoring double in the top of the second inning to put the Redlegs ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"You want to go out there and put up zeroes, that's the main thing," said Shinohara. "You don't want to get caught in one of those back-and-forth, run-for-run games."
