The Hamilton Thunderbirds got a stellar effort from pitcher Claude Simon, helping Hamilton score a win over the visiting Plymouth Rocks, 6-2. The win puts Hamilton at 32-50.

Hamilton right fielder Brad Reid contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a fastball to left field for a 2-run single. It was his 84th hit of the season and put the Thunderbirds ahead, 3-0.
