The Port Huron Blitzkrieg picked up a win at Stark Stadium, dropping the Syracuse Starks, 4-3, in 11 innings. Miguel Ortíz was the difference-maker. The third-place Blitzkrieg have a record of 14-11.

Port Huron used a timely hit from Mike Sherman to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the 11th inning to put the Blitzkrieg ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"I'm trying to keep it simple," said Sherman. "Just do my job."
