Despite a great performance by Hialeah first baseman Michael Smith, the Port Huron Blitzkrieg defeated the Dodos by the score of 10-5 at Port Huron Park. Smith went 2-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Salvador Martínez picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-2. Sosa Kiyomizu, who is tied for 10th in the 3AAA in holds with 4, was tagged with the loss. The triumph makes Port Huron 25-58.

James Bradley's at-bat in the bottom of the second was significant for the Blitzkrieg. Coming to the plate with the bases loaded and Port Huron trailing 2-0, the Blitzkrieg first baseman hit a 2-run single.

"We hit the ball on the barrel," said Port Huron manager Mike Nyberg.
