White Excels, But Buzz Win
Spirits Stadium was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Salt Lake City Buzz and Hamilton Thunderbirds.

The inspired effort of Hamilton center fielder George White was not enough to prevent a loss, 8-7, to the Salt Lake City Buzz. White went 2 for 2 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Timo Reinhardt, credited with the win in relief, is now 2-0. He allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 3 innings.

Juan Martínez hit a bases-clearing double off Scott White in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Buzz in front, 7-4. In addition to the double, Martínez had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.

"Winning is always a team effort," Martínez said after the game.

The Buzz saw their win-loss record go to 41-42. At the same time, the Thunderbirds fell to 31-52.
