Plymouth parlayed a decent outing from starter John McCarthy into a solid win over the Hamilton Thunderbirds. The final score was 8-3. With the win, Plymouth goes to 47-36, while the Thunderbirds fall to 32-51.

The Thunderbirds had been locked in a 3-3 tie with the Rocks going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old designated hitter Jed Price came to the plate. Price hit a bases-clearing double on a 2-2 changeup from Hamilton hurler Bailey Marshall. It was Price's 24th double of the year.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Price.
