Dodos Use Late Surge to Win
|
The Hialeah Dodos racked up a win at Psychos Ballpark, bumping off the Florida Men, 4-2. Steve King, who started for Hialeah, pitched effectively for his team. In 7 innings, King surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 0. He allowed 2 runs. The 'W' lifts Hialeah's record to 37-47.
Hialeah used a timely hit from Jim Willis to get the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Dodos ahead, 3-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a difference-maker.
