Harris Leads Plymouth to 1-0 Win
|
Fans watched the Plymouth Rocks and the Hamilton Thunderbirds fight to the finish.
Ron Harris, who is tied for 2nd in the 3AAA in innings pitched with 124.1, pitched a gem in leading Plymouth to a 1-0 victory over the Hamilton Thunderbirds. The first-place Rocks have a one-game lead in their division.
Harris's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 7 strikeouts in 8 innings while allowing 2 hits. Harris, who is tied for 2nd in the 3AAA in quality starts with 12, goes to 10-5 on the year with 77 strikeouts.
"That's baseball," said Hamilton manager Jesús Garces. "Sometimes the other team plays better than yours."
