Led by Ted Garrett, the Hartford Pride defeated the Salt Lake City Buzz, 10-1. Garrett was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 for the Pride. Earning his 1st save for Hartford was Victor Jones. Hartford is now 46-39, Salt Lake City 46-39.
Martinho Vido had a big 2-run triple for the Pride in the bottom of the third inning. With Hartford leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a curveball from Ben Griffin, who is tied for 4th in the 3AAA in complete games with 1, and swatted a triple to left-center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Pride ahead, 4-1.
"It was full throttle on our side," said Vido.
