Buzz Lose Versus Monongahela, 7-2
|
Monongahela Monsters starter Lester Creed turned in an exceptional performance against the Salt Lake City Buzz at Timber Hawks Ballpark, resulting in a Monongahela win, 7-2. The second-place Monsters improved to 48-37.
Kelsey Tate had a big 2-run double for the Monsters in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Monongahela leading 3-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 31-year old left-handed pitcher Elroy Mastenbroek and swatted a double to center. It was his 18th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Monsters ahead, 5-0.
"Lester had good arm action, good stuff," said Monongahela manager Sancho Tornero.
