In a low-scoring affair between the Port Huron Blitzkrieg and the Vermont Lake Monsters, pitcher Gustavo Rivera was the difference between victory and defeat. The Port Huron left-hander earned accolades in the 3-1 Blitzkrieg win. Shuji Kokawa got credit for the win, improving to 1-2. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. Vicente Arroyo got the save, his 15th in 19 chances.

Port Huron took a 2-1 lead on Ray Parker's 3rd triple of the season. The 2-run triple, which Parker hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Vermont pitcher Andrew Shoemaker shaking his head.

"It was just a matter of executing," said Port Huron manager Jack Alexander.

The victory puts Port Huron at 30-55.
