4-1 Drummers Win over Starks Evens Season Record
|
Hanskarl Hümmel was a major contributor to the 4-1 Tortolita win over Syracuse. The Drummers right fielder went 3-4 with a home run and 2 doubles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Mike Davidson closed the game out for Tortolita, earning his 4th save. At 14-14, the Drummers find themselves in 5th place in the Premier AAA.
Hümmel had a game-changing double in the bottom of the sixth. On a first pitch fastball from Gelana Maitho, he banged a 2-run double to left, giving the Drummers a 3-1 lead. It was the 6th double of the year for Hümmel.
"You need to show up when your number's called," said Hümmel.
