A good performance from first baseman Pedro Basconcillos helped the Tortolita Drummers defeat the Syracuse Starks, 6-3. Basconcillos belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice for the Drummers. Tortolita pitcher Boris Milatovic got the win. He's now 3-3. Zuo-lin Liang was tagged with the loss. Getting the save was Michael Pace, his 11th.

Basconcillos had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the fourth inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Drummers went on to win.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Basconcillos said.

The win makes Tortolita 17-11.
