Martin Lifts Rocks to 15-9 Win
Wallace Martin was the difference-maker for the Plymouth Rocks in what turned into a shootout with the Hialeah Dodos. Martin went 2-for-4 in the 15-9 Rocks win. Jorge Valdéz got the win, improving to 5-5. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 15 hits and 8 runs, while striking out 1 and walking 0. The first-place Rocks have a one-game lead in their division.

Martin put Plymouth up, 10-4, when he hit a grand slam home run off Sosa Kiyomizu in the top of the sixth. His 10th home run of the season helped the Rocks capture the win.

"If you were looking for a pitchers' duel," said Martin, "this wasn't it."
