The Port Royal Disaster defeated the Sunset District Fog, 5-2, at Fog Park. Port Royal was led by 25-year old right fielder Greg Hilton, who went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs. Jussi-Pekka Hostikka, credited with the win in relief, is now 3-3. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3.2 innings. With the win, Port Royal goes to 35-51, while the Fog fall to 46-40.

Port Royal got the win thanks to a clutch hit from Valentín Vargas. The first baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Disaster ahead, 5-2. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it had a major impact on the outcome.

"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Hilton said after the game.
