Buzz Even Record with 7-5 Victory
The Salt Lake City Buzz topped the Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys, 7-5, with first baseman Melchor Palangan playing a big role. Palangan went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 for the Buzz in the win. The winning pitcher was 21-year old left-handed pitcher Richard Stevenson. He tossed 93 pitches over 6.1 innings, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits. Getting the save was Joe Allen, his 3rd.

Salt Lake City used the timely hitting of Colm Reyes to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Buzz ahead, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"I felt good up there," said Palangan. "I saw the ball well."

The Buzz improved their record to 43-43 with the win over Syracuse.
