The Hartford Pride defeated the Salt Lake City Buzz, 13-9, at Pride Park. Leading the charge for Hartford was center fielder Martinho Vido. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. The third-place Pride have a record of 48-39.

Hartford took the lead, 13-9, on Mike McKinney's 9th home run of the season. The grand slam home run came off Salt Lake City pitcher Brad Bray in the bottom of the seventh.

"It was great to come out and swing the bats," McKinney told the Hartford Daily.
