Though he had a stellar game, Andrew Smith could not prevent his team, the Pawnee ParksNRec, from losing, 3-2, to the Nashville Hot Chickens. Smith went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. The win was credited to Bong-ok Nae in relief. His record improves to 3-5. Keith Hays took the loss. The Hot Chickens, at 46-41, sit in 4th place in the Menard's AAA.
The Hot Chickens took the lead in the bottom of the fifth when Kurt Smith banged a two-out single. Nashville had been trailing 2-1, but Smith hit a 2-2 sinker from Keith Hays for a 2-run single.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Nashville manager Paul Dawsey.
