The Sunset District Fog picked up a win at Fog Park, knocking off the Florida Men, 5-4. Starting pitcher Alejandro Cordero was a big reason why. In 6 innings, Cordero surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 1 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. The 5th-place Fog have a record of 47-41.
With two out in the bottom of the sixth, Mike Armstrong put Sunset District in front, 3-0, with a 2-run single. The Fog went on to win the ballgame.
"We ground out the win," said Cordero. "That's all that matters."
