Akil bin Abbud, who is tied for 2nd in the PAAA in wins with 4, was locked in. The right-hander led the Montreal Machine to a 7-3 win against the Sacramento Redlegs at Sacramento Sanitation Station. Glenn Lortkipanidze recorded his 1st save for Montreal. The loss makes Sacramento 12-21.

José Sánchez was vital to the Montreal win. He went 3-5 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs. In the top of the third with two out, Sánchez hit a run-scoring single. It made the score 2-0, in favor of the Machine.

"Akil set the tone with his ability to attack the hitters," said Montreal manager Alfonso Vera.
