The Monongahela Monsters topped the Port Royal Disaster, 6-4, in M3L Triple A action at Ballpark of Port Royal. The game was highlighted by the performance of Monongahela pitcher Jim Givens. The winning pitcher was Givens, now 7-5. He tossed 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 4 and fanning 4. Skip Lewis got the save, the 18th for him this season.

José Campos had a big 2-run home run for the Monsters in the top of the second inning. With Monongahela leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a cutter from José Pérez, who is tied for 2nd in the 3AAA in innings pitched with 136.0, and swatted a home run to right. It was his 4th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Monsters ahead, 3-0.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Monongahela manager Sancho Tornero.

The Monsters saw their win-loss record go to 50-38. At the same time, the Disaster fell to 45-43.
