The Salt Lake City Buzz beat the Hamilton Thunderbirds, 9-2, at Coyote Wildlife Refuge. The win was due in part to center fielder Gjelt Willems, who went 2-3 with 2 doubles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. Salt Lake City is now 50-40. Hamilton is 33-57.

Anthony Potter was a prime contributor to the Salt Lake City win. He went 3 for 5 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs. In the top of the second with two out, the 34-year old third baseman hit a run-scoring single. It made the score 1-0, in favor of the Buzz.
