Matlah, Black Mambas Stop Squirrel Monkeys, 4-1

The Austin Black Mambas topped the Syracuse Squirrel Monkeys, 4-1, in M3L Triple A action at The Zoo in Syracuse. The standout performance belonged to Austin pitcher and Suvorov, Russia, native Sanya Matlah. The third-place Black Mambas lifted their record to 55-35.
Matlah tossed 108 pitches over 7.2 innings to clinch the win for the Black Mambas. The right-hander allowed just 3 hits, while racking up 8 strikeouts in the game.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Austin manager Perry Bothof.
