Belcher goes 3-for-5 in Red Pandas Win
|
A 3-RBI performance from first baseman Theo Belcher, who is tied for 8th in the 3AAA in RBI with 45, led the Sioux Falls Red Pandas to a win over the Salt Lake City Buzz, 9-6. David Rubin, the winner, goes to 3-1. He allowed 2 runs on 5 hits, with 3 walks and 9 strikeouts over 7 innings. Gene Greene got credit for the save for Sioux Falls. It was his 1st of the year.
Sioux Falls used a clutch hit from Bob Huang to snatch the win. The second baseman belted a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Red Pandas ahead, 3-0. It was his only hit, but it was huge.
"Nice to keep our winning streak intact," said Belcher.
The win makes Sioux Falls 58-32.
