Port Huron beat Hamilton at Coyote Wildlife Refuge, eking out a 5-4 win. The triumph was primarily due to catcher Alfredo Silva. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Earning his 13th save for Port Huron was Mark Peterson. The victory makes Port Huron 27-66.

Silva had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 1-0 cutter from Bob Thompson, he banged a 2-run home run to left-center, giving the Blitzkrieg a 5-3 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Silva.

"Nice to get this one," said Silva. "We've been scuffling."
