Hamilton Thunderbirds starter John Black pitched his team past the Port Royal Disaster, 5-1. The Thunderbirds are now 28-65, while the Disaster fall to 47-46.
Black made it look easy. He scattered 6 hits over 8 innings, while racking up 11 strikeouts. The right-hander upped his season record to 3-11.
"John had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said Hamilton manager Jesús Garces.
