The Sioux Falls Red Pandas routed the Sunset District Fog, 11-2, at The Bamboo Forest. Huell Babineaux, who is tied for 3rd in the 3AAA in doubles with 27, was one of the hitting stars. He went 3 for 5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 6 for Sioux Falls. Steven Weaver picked up the win with 5.2 innings of work. He allowed 2 runs on 6 hits, while walking 4 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 5-3. The save went to Pierre-Jean Jung, his 1st this season.

An inflection point occurred with one out in the bottom of the first. That's when Red Pandas third baseman Carl Wilson hit a changeup from Larry Oliver for a 2-run single. Just like that, Sioux Falls was up, 2-1.

"Hitting is contagious. And when you have a lineup that's going to throw out competitive at-bats one through nine, it makes you want to join in," said Babineaux.

At 61-32, Sioux Falls is in first place in the Menard's AAA.
