The inspired effort of Salt Lake City right fielder Kyle Nelson was not enough to prevent a loss, 6-5, to the Florida Men. Nelson went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. With the win, Florida goes to 45-49, while the Buzz fall to 52-42.
Ted Oglethorpe hit a 2-run triple off Dan Cortés in the top of the third, which put the Men in front, 3-1. Oglethorpe had 2 walks, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said Salt Lake City manager Todd Hines. "But we decided not to take it."
