The Hartford Pride got a marvelous performance from pitcher Rudy Savage. The left-hander kept the Hialeah offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 5-2 Hartford victory at Pride Park. Andy Harvey earned his 6th save in 7 chances. With the win, Hartford pushed its record to 54-40.

The Pride got a big at-bat from first baseman Danny Woodward. For the game, Woodward went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Hartford a 2-1 lead.

"It was just a matter of executing," said Hartford manager Tim Fowler.
