Men Win at Home, 3-1

Ben Griffin pitched well, but the Salt Lake City Buzz still lost the game, falling, 3-1, to the Florida Men at Psychos Ballpark. Mike Allen picked up the save, his 22nd. Florida is 46-49 and Salt Lake City, with the loss, 52-43.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Men had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the third, when second baseman Mike Blake hit a 2-run single. The single came off Ben Griffin and made the score 2-0, Men. Blake went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Florida manager Caetano Alfena. "It's usually not just one thing."
