The Hialeah Dodos were defeated, 3-1, by the Hartford Pride at Dodos Ballpark, even though Bernardo Rivera pitched well for Hialeah. Glenn Patterson, credited with the win in relief, is now 2-2. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. The Pride raised their record to 55-41.

Bob Watson had a big 2-run home run for the Pride in the top of the fourth inning. With Hartford leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a changeup from Bernardo Rivera, who is tied for 3rd in the 3AAA with a 8.5 K/9 rate, and punished it. The result was his 5th home run of the season, which put the Pride on top, 3-0.

"The other side played a good game," said Hialeah manager Albert Pérez. "You tip your cap to them."
