Another game, another loss for the struggling Hamilton Thunderbirds.

The Port Royal Disaster beat the Hamilton Thunderbirds, 9-4, at Coyote Wildlife Refuge. The Disaster got a fine performance from designated hitter José Torres, who was 2 for 5 with 2 doubles and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Port Royal pitcher Ron Woods got the win, upping his record to 5-7. Martin Roach got the loss. Dave McCormick finished the game for Port Royal and earned his 2nd save.

In the top of the sixth, the Disaster grabbed the lead when Torres hit his 8th double of the season. The 2-run double off Martin Roach made it 6-4, Port Royal.

"I felt good up there," said Torres. "I saw the ball well."

The losses continue to mount for Hamilton, which has now dropped 9 in a row.
